Hi
We will be visiting Japan in October for 14 days. We plan on Exploring TOKYO for 5 days including a day trip to Kawagoe, and NAGANO, then to KYOTO for 7days, stopping at Mt Fuji. Possibly day trips when in KYOTO, then back to Tokyo for 2 days. Please advise what is the best passes to buy. Thank you

Hi there,
I recommend using 7-day JR Pass, assuming you use it to at least for travel from Tokyo to Kyoto and back. This is enough for a JR Pass to be cost-effective, so any further travel only adds to your savings.
Within Tokyo, normal tickets or day passes usually make more sense.
