Traveling between Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka - Hiroshima

Your itinerary looks really good to me and you will make outstanding use of the Japan Rail Pass.

For a slightly more optimised itinerary: going from Kyoto - Hiroshima has a transfer at Shin-Osaka. You could leave your luggage in a coin locker there, visit Hiroshima and then come back to Osaka to stay the night there. This way you would not have to travel back to Kyoto and again to Osaka the following day.

Alternatively, if you have a bit more money to spend, then a luggage forwarding service could be great too.
