Hi there,
You will not be able to make a seat reservation using Ekinet. However, once you arrive in Japan, you can easily reserve seats at any JR Train Station ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or ticket machine.
I hope you have a wonderful time in Japan!
Kind Regards,
Mariko
