Hi, hope you can help please.

Our itinerary is as follows
Tuesday 14th October travel from Tokyo to Kyoto
Thursday 16th October day trip from Kyoto to Hiroshima (return)
Friday 17th October Kyoto to Osaka
Sunday 19th October Osaka to Kobe return day trip
Monday 20th Osaka to Hakone
Tuesday 21st October Hakone to Tokyo

Would we be better purchasing the 7 day JR pass or buying train tickets from Tokyo to Kyoto and Osaka to Hankone/Hankone to Tokyo and purchase the 5 day West?

Hi there,

The 7-day JR Pass is a good option here, if you use it to travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kobe and back to Hakone. Then use normal tickets for travel back to Tokyo.
