Is it posible to use the shinkansen between Naritia Airport and Kyoto. Please let me know any trains that the pass is not valid for - I am travelling between Narita, Kyoto, Toyama, Fukui and Tokyo.

Yes, it is possible to use the Japan Rail Pass between Narita and Kyoto. For your journey, the only train you'll not be able to use is the Nozomi Bullet train, all other Bullet trains (Sakura, Hikari, Kodama) are available for you to use and all other JR trains and buses.

For your Rail travel there are no other costs than the initial price of the pass and there is no limit to the number of trains you can travel on during the validity period.
