Hello- we have a two part question. We will leave for Japan on Oct. 17th from the US. Is there still time to receive the rail pass in the U S before we leave.
This is our itinerary- does it make sense to buy the JR rail pass.
Tokyo to Osaka
Osaka to Kyoto
Kyoto back to Tokyo

Hi Megan,
Yes, we ship overnight to most destination in the US. Delivery by the 17th would be no problem at all.
A 7-day Japan Rail Pass makes sense if you cover travel between all the cities you plan to visit within this period. Ideally, even adding transport to/from the airport to maximize savings.
