We'll be traveling from Takayama to Shirakawa-go while you can travel by train I'm thinking that the 45 minute bus trip is a lot quicker. Firstly is this correct and secondly is the bus trip from Takayama Nouhi Bus Center to Shirakawa-go covered with the JR Rail Pass?

Hi there,
The Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass covers the bus from Takayama Bus Terminal to Shirakawa-go, a journey of about 50 minutes. Please note that the Nationwide JR Pass does not cover this route.
