JRPass 7 + additionals or JRPass-14?

Hi,

I'm planning to visit Japan this summer (4 adults); this is my current trip plan:
23/07-28/07 - Tokyo
28/08-31/07 - Kyoto
31/07-03/08 - Osaka
03/08-05/08 - Hiroshima
05/08-07/08 - Tokyo

What is best to buy a JRPass-7 plus additional tickets or JRPass-14?

Hi there,

I'm not sure why you'd want a 7-day JR Pass + 14 day JR Pass?

The best option here is to use a 7-day JR Pass for travel to Hiroshima and back to Tokyo. Then just buy normal tickets for the remainder of your trip. As there is only one long trip Tokyo - Kyoto in your itinerary, and the rest is all local travel, which is relatively low-cost.
