Hi,
We arrive at Narita Airport terminal 2 at 9.05am 23 September and are travelling to Okayama the same day. We have JR passes to activate on arrival. Can we travel directly from Narita to Okayama on Shinkansen or do we need to go to Tokyo first? Can you suggest the best itinerary for us?

Hi there,
There is no Shinkansen station at Narita Airport, so your first step of business is taking the Narita Express to Tokyo station. From there you can get on the Hikari Shinkansen to Okayama station. Trains depart about every 30 minutes, so you'll never have to wait long.
