Planing a 21 day trip next year starting off with7 nights in Yokohama, with day trips to Tokyo and Kawaguchiko.
Then head to Kyoto for 5 nights, 5 nights in Osaka and 4 nights in Hiroshima and back to Yokohama for 1 night.
We will be doing day trips from Kyoto, Osaka & Hiroshima.
Is the 14 day JR pass the best option or should we buy separate Shinkansen tickets?

Hi there,
Since your travel is spread out, using individual Shinkansen tickets would be the best option. For the Kansai and Hiroshima segments, I would recommend the 5-day Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass.
