Hello, I plan to visit Hokkaido and plan to buy a JR pass. My question is, I want to buy a 2nd class ticket because the luxury is not important to me.
However, I will be traveling April 30th to May 5th. This is the busy travel time.
Can I reserve seats in 2nd class in order to ensure I have no problem getting to my destination?
Or is it like the EU rail pass where you must ride first to ensure you get a seat?
