Could you please tell me what trains I need to take to go from Hiroshima to Shin-Imamiya?
so I can then take the Nankai Koya Line to go to Koyasan
I plan on getting a JR pass. Are all the trains from Hiroshima to Shin-Imamiya included in the pass?

Yes, you can take JR to Shin-Imamiya. From there you need to take a non-JR carrier, Nankai. You can get a Koyasan World Heritage Ticket from them.
