Hi there,

We are planning the following itinerary

Day 1 - to 7
- Osaka - Using Osaka as home base to visit Kobe, Nara and Kyoto

Day 8 - 10
- Kawaguchiko

Day 11 - 16
- Tokyo

Give this, which rail pass do you recommend that is the most economical? Appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Hi there,

Personally I was not able to find a good JR Pass that would be cost efficient. As most of your travel is local.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
