Using JR pass later than I planned

Dear all,
When I purchased my JR pass ticket (for 7days), I used a specific starting day (18th of February), but I would like to activate it few days later (on 22nd of February), is this still possible to use it in the period 22-28th? Can I activate the ticket on 22nd?
