From Matsumoto to Jigokudani yaen koen (monkey park)

Hi there,

From Matsumoto, travel to JR Nagano station. From there take the non-JR Nagano Dentetsu train to Yudanaka. From Yudanaka, take a bus to Kanbayashi Onsen. On arrival, it's about a 30 min walk to the Jigokudani Yaen-koen entrance.

Note that the JR Pass doesn't cover travel from JR Nagano onwards. I recommend you take a look at this great guide for more information on Jigokudani and the surrounding area.
