Using the Nozomi will still not be a direct route between Hiroshima and Yokohama, as you’ll have to travel between two separate Shinkansen lines, the Sanyo and Tokaido. The easiest way to reach Yokohama would be to board a Sakura Shinkansen service from Hiroshima to Shin-Osaka, then change to a Tokaido (Hikari will be easiest probably) which will take you to Shin-Yokohama Station. The Nozomi service is for the Tokaido portion of this trip and acts as an express service to minimise travel time - between Osaka and Tokyo the additional fare would be ¥4960, but again this is not necessary if you do not wish to purchase it and you’re entire route can be done using your pass.
