JR pass old pricing valid if purchasing before 29 Sep 2023 and activating on 20 December 2023?

So is the process as follows?

1) I Purchase the passes today.
2) The exchange forms get mailed to me via courier.
3) When i land in Japan I then submit the exchange form at the designated kiosk for activation and receive my activated pass?

Will book today and include the use day as the 20th.
