Hi we are coming to Japan this September, itinerary as per below.
We intend to buy a 21 days pass.
All these places are covered by a JR pass?
Land Haneda, stay 2 nights in Tokyo
Depart to Hakotade, 2 nights
Depart to Sapporo, 2 nights
Depart region around Lake Akan, 2 nights
Depart to Sapporo, 1 night
Depart to Aomori, 2 nights
Depart to Hiroshima, 3 nights
Depart to Naoshima, 1 night
Depart to Teshima, 1 night
Depart to Kyoto, 3 nights
Depart to Hakone, 3 nights
Depart to Tokyo, 3 nights
Depart to Haneda
I guess it will be convenient to start pass use on the departure to Hakodate, correct?
What traiin/ticket you recommend for Haneda – Tokyo – Haneda route?

Hi there,
Money wise - the trips to Hokkaido, including Hakone is what costs the most. If you can use the JR Pass there, then you'd get the best value for sure.
You may need some additional travel to Lake Akan and around Hakone, and the ferry the Naoshima/Teshima but all other train travel is included in the JR pass.
For just Haneda Access, you may want to look at an IC card such as Suica.
