We will be visitng Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka for 8 days. Plan to spend 3 days in Tokyo, 2 days in Kyoto and 3 days in Osaka What will you recommned for the JR pass on the suggested itenerary.

Hi there,
If you plan to travel from Tokyo to Osaka/Kyoto, then the JR Pass may not be the best option for you cost wise.
Looking at your plan I would buy separate tickets for your journey.
Tokyo --> Kyoto is ¥ 13,520
Kyoto --> Osaka is ¥ 540
For ¥ 14,060 total. A 7 day rail pass is ¥ 28,300. However if you plan to go back to Tokyo in 7 days than the pass would become a good option.
