JR Rail Pass or JR WEST-SANYO PASS?

The difference in price between the JR West Sanyo pass and the 7-day JR Pass is 8,300Yen, for this you get 3 extra days of unlimited travel. Basically it would be worth getting a 7-day JR Pass if you do more travel than this amount.

With the 4Day Sanyo pass your travel to Fukuoka and back to Kansai Airport would already be covered. Since you plan on staying the other 3 days in Kyoto I think the JR West Sanyo would be the best option.

One more question: Can we ride on Green Car if we use the JR West Sanyo pass? or do need to pay extra to upgrade to Green Car?

Hi again,

You can only use the normal cars with the JR-Sanyo pass,
If you wish to make use of a green compartment you will have to pay the full greet seat fare.
